A few words on "Energy Blocks"

In my journey through energy healing, I've come to understand that what we often refer to as "energy blocks" are not actually blockages of energy at all. Rather, they are deeply ingrained behavioral patterns and mindsets that subtly, yet powerfully, hold people back from realizing their true potential. These patterns are not random; they were formed during childhood as mechanisms of protection and survival.
As children, we adapt to our environment in ways that help us cope with the challenges we face. These adaptations often manifest as certain thought patterns, emotional responses, and behaviors that serve to shield us from pain or discomfort. For example, a child who experiences criticism may develop a habit of self-doubt, believing that this mindset will keep them safe from further judgment. Similarly, a child who grows up in a chaotic environment might learn to suppress their emotions to avoid adding to the turmoil.
While these patterns may have served a purpose in childhood, as adults, they often become barriers to our growth and happiness. The protective mechanisms that once helped us navigate a difficult world can start to limit our ability to experience life fully. They can prevent us from taking risks, forming healthy relationships, or pursuing our dreams. These outdated patterns create a sense of stuckness or stagnation, which is often mislabeled as an "energy block."
In energy healing, the work is not about removing these so-called blocks, but rather sending them energetic support and recognizing and transforming the underlying patterns and beliefs that no longer serve us. It involves a deep exploration of our subconscious mind to identify the origins of these habits and mindsets. By combining Reiki, EFT tapping, somatic movement, and meditation, we can gently release these old patterns, allowing new, healthier ways of being to emerge.
The process of healing involves not only letting go of what is no longer needed but also cultivating new behaviors and attitudes that align with our true selves. It's about creating new pathways in the mind that support our growth, joy, and fulfillment. When we address the root cause of our "blocks"—our ingrained patterns and mindsets—we open ourselves up to a more authentic, empowered way of living.
